Today we will start an seo experiment to see which version of the AuraDev homepage is most popular. By this I mean which version of the homepage causes more people to stay on AuraDev.com and look for seo, web design and web hosting.
We will measure the bounce rate percentage against 3 versions of the homepage.
Version 1 is a portfolio with text that describes recent projects. We ran this for a good part of last year.
Version 2 is a sales letter type page that was built on the goal of getting people to join our mailing list. It hasn't worked very well.
Version 3 is a menu of services with icons representing each service.
Statistics
04/01/08 thru 06/01/08: We ran v1 and it had a bounce rate of 44.00%.
06/14/08 thru 08/13/08: We ran v2 and it had a bounce rate of 52.22%
08/18/08 thru 10/18/08: On Aug 18th we launched v3 of the AuraDev homepage. Check back later for stats and results.
